The position is suited to an experienced analyst who is comfortable operating in client environments, adapting to varying levels of security maturity, and translating complex threat intelligence into clear, actionable insight.
The Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst will work as part of a specialist consulting team, engaging with multiple clients to enhance their threat intelligence capability. Assignments may range from embedding with client security teams to providing targeted advisory support, depending on client needs.
The role requires a high degree of independence, professionalism, and analytical rigour, with the analyst acting as a trusted advisor while representing the consulting practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver cyber threat intelligence services to clients across different sectors
- Analyse and assess threats using open-source, commercial, and client-provided intelligence sources
- Produce tailored intelligence outputs, including tactical alerts, operational reporting, and strategic assessments
- Track threat actors, campaigns, tools, and techniques relevant to client environments
- Provide intelligence-led support to client SOC, incident response, and vulnerability management activities
- Present findings and briefings to technical teams, security leadership, and non-technical stakeholders
- Advise clients on improving threat intelligence processes, tooling, and operating models
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, methodology development, and mentoring within the consulting team
- Support horizon scanning and emerging threat analysis aligned to client risk and business context
Skills & Experience
- Significant experience in cyber threat intelligence, security operations, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of the cyber threat landscape, including attacker behaviours and trends
- Experience applying intelligence lifecycle principles and structured analytic techniques
- Confidence working in client-facing roles and unfamiliar environments
- Ability to quickly understand client priorities, constraints, and risk appetite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to varied audiences
- Experience working alongside SOC, incident response, or security engineering teams
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent client engagements
Desirable (but Not Essential)
- Prior consulting or professional services experience
- Experience establishing or maturing threat intelligence functions
- Exposure to executive or senior leadership reporting
- Familiarity with automation, scripting, or data analysis to support intelligence workflows
- Relevant industry certifications or formal training in cyber security or intelligence analysis
